Ankkarock festival first took place in 1989. Situated in the middle of the city in Korso, Vantaa (Finland) the festival has taken place each year from then on and up until 1998 entry was even free of charge.
Running for two days during August the festival not only showcases some of Finland's finest bands each year, but attracts international bands as well.
