The best way to begin this review is to explain who Alex Beyrodt is! He is the man behind Silent Force, has played guitar for both Sinner and Primal Fear, so this should give you a relative taste as to what to expect! If those bands mean nothing to you, think power metal but with more of a hard rock edge to it and that is basically what this release has to offer!

This album is brimming with superb musicianship mixed with the fact Voodoo CIrcleseem to have aimed to write songs that are enjoyable, rather than focus on any showmanship which would detract from creating a good track!

There is some nice keyboard work that really fits in with well the rest of the and acts as a cracking link between songs. As well as the power metal influences there are some blues and rock sections which help to vary the album without loosing the overall atmosphere. There are plenty of moments where the tempo increases and the vocals are provided by David Readman who has a fantastic range and can really hit the high notes.

Voodoo Circle have delivered eleven tracks of hard rock heaven which will really have listeners wanting to turn it up to eleven!
