Finnish, glam-rocksters Reckless Love have released Romance from their self titled debut album, riding off the back of a glam-rock revival thanks to bands like Steel Panther, they’ve picked their moment perfectly.
Full of swagger and attitude, it’s pretty clear these guys are only interested in girls and leather, and with a huge list of influences they’re definitely tipping their cowboy hats to greats like Whitesnake and Van Halen with this track. Romance has got that stadium style chorus, sexually charged rock and seductive vocals, all of which are a nod to Bon Jovi, especially the lyrics about a girl working hard and ‘living on a romance’.
The guitar driven sound and classic solo reflects 80’s hair metal, mixed in with some pop-rock high vocals, think David Coverdale and David Lee Roth’s lovechild. Their classic and glam rock sound on Romance means that if you’re a fan of this style you’ll definitely want to get your hands on the album. Plus there’s a pretty saucy official video on YouTube as well, I recommend checking it out! Glam rock is alive and more than well.
