Saidian come from Germany, this is the third release from the band within four years so the musical inspiration is obviously coming thick and fast! This album falls 100% into the Power Metal category, it has the lot, high pitched vocals, double-bass drums, guitars, keyboards and a hefty dose of cheese!

On the whole Evercircle is pretty much business as usual as far as this genre goes, lots of up-tempo tracks with that fast paced galloping style of riff that bands such as Dragonforce have made a living from! There are of course the obligatory power ballads with Once in my Dreams, which will bring ‘lighters in the air’ visions to mind.

There are definite classical influences in parts, Sign in the Sky has a few melodies that sound almost a bit reminiscent of Mozart at times which shows that they have a diverse mix of styles that they introduce throughout.

The musical themes lean towards the fantasy and often spiritual side of things, from a song about Judgement Day to the quite bizarre Halos for Everyone where the chorus is about selling halos to everyone ‘in substitution for Messiah who’s on holiday now’! Not quite sure where they are coming from on that one but it is certainly some quite unique lyricism!

This album would be a definite recommendation for anyone who enjoys fast paced Power Metal with a few keyboard sections chucked in to add a bit of variety to the mix.
